Group Description :
Please note this year we will have a meeting in August but not in January. On bank holidays we will meet instead on the following Mondays, (13th April and 11th May). We visit local sites where we can watch and enjoy the bird life. It is a gentle 2 hour ramble with like-minded people to appreciate both the fauna and flora of our beautiful area. Our birdwatchng rambles can take us to Pulborough Brooks, Arundel WWT, Warnham Nature Reserve (near Horsham) and other local spots on both the downs and the coast. We have had some great days to be out and about, by the river and the brooks, up the downs and in the woods. Apart from the scenery, we've seen some lovely birds: from the tiniest goldcrest to the spectacular kingfisher. We've seen buzzards, kestrels, a red kite, nuthatches, finches, tits, yellow hammers as well as all the common garden birds. We’ve shared some great knowledge and experience from some of our new members this year which is wonderful. Because we’re out and about there's no upper limit on our numbers, so why not come and join us?
