Group Details For Recorder playing

This group is for those with experience of playing the recorder and reading music, who wish to play in an ensemble and improve their technique. The group now comprises descant (and sopranino when needed!), treble, tenor, bass and great bass players and we work on trios, quartets  quintets and sextets (and even octets!) playing pieces from a variety of musical genres. We operate a "schedule" system so everyone knows what we will be playing up to the end of term, allowing players to practise if they so wish! We are developing and extending our repertoire all the time. Our 'home base' is Rm.3 at East Worthing Community Centre. The Autumn Term begins on Monday, 8th September 2025 and will run until Monday, 15th December inclusive, with a break on Monday, 27th October for half term. We are a very friendly group and would welcome anyone who would like to come and give us a try - particularly if you play treble, tenor or bass (we already have six descant players!)
